Dr. Emina at the Amen clinic was able to help our teen, after dozens of neurologists, psychologists and therapists could not. He is compassionate, whip-smart and data-driven. Our teen connected with him immediately and trusted his guidance, which has turned her life around. If you feel like you have tried it all, yet are still suffering from mental health or learning issues, it's time to visit the Amen Clinic!

From the front desk staff, Hailey and Luis, to the Patient Outcome Manager Ashley and Makayla, to the Clinic Director Elle, to my evaluating physician Dr. Johnson, and my therapy counselor Paige. I have never been treated with such compassion, understanding and expertise. This team treats you with individual care and respects the delicate nature of brain health. I have never felt more validated, seen and cared for in any level of medical care in my entire life. I recommend this clinic to all that are interested and know that they will find the care that they deserve with this team.

I wish I had come to Amen clinics so many years earlier as it has made such a change in my everyday being. I always knew I had some element ADHD but learned it was more than I realized as I watched Dr. Amen and his wife Tana speaking about it on videos. After 2-3 weeks of being on supplements, I felt a calm that I had not felt before. Even without anxiety, I didn't understand that my mind was in the frantic state that I had become accustomed to since my teens (I'm in my late 40s). The calm was strange but peaceful and I am now able to finish tasks without thinking about what else I need to do or going in between different tasks at the same time. I am looking forward to "catching up" with life where it always seemed impossible and to starting a business that I have always wanted to but felt held back from because of my lack of focus.
The people working in the clinic are amazing too. It is so nice to be known by name every time I walk in. Everyone is so friendly! Dr. Momaya has been great, Elle is so helpful, Hedy is so sweet in HBOT (I love seeing her every time I come in), and I always enjoy chatting with Dr. Gattis as he answers my neurofeedback curiosity questions or having conversations with him about what affects frequencies in my brain and connecting the dots. It's so fascinating!

I cannot say enough good things about Amen Clinics! From the moment I walked in, I was met with professionalism, warmth, and genuine care. The front office staff are welcoming, efficient and so kind.

Was very concerned about my brain, as I am 52, dad and gramma both died from Dementia, and I was just hoping to find what shape my brain is and how to be preventative moving ahead. Very expensive testing, so it was a big commitment, but I did find the tests to be thorough and Dr. Seawell, who worked with me was great in taking his time to work with me and break down all we were working with. I do have vitamin protocol which is more of an expense, but I expected this, and they were actually very conservative on taking only what I needed, and did not try to "upsell" me on a lot of other "stuff" I may need. I have a lot to do, its not an overnight fix, but I really am glad I took the step to do this, find out where I am at, and now am making a commitment to move ahead and work with the Amen Clinics to see what we can do to help my brain a bit!

I first heard about the Amen Clinic in 2010 when I saw a documentary starring Dr. Daniel Amen, and the use of Brain SPECTS to diagnose and resolve any neurological or psychiatric health issues. So when my husband’s HMO couldn’t resolve his sudden personality change and stress related panic attacks with the antidepressants that seemed to sedate him, I called the Amen Clinic for an Evaluation. He had not worked or improved for 5 months. The cost was reasonable for such an indepth evaluatuin that included both brain SPECTS and his total physical condition, and inclusive treatments from both a psychiatrist and Integrative doctor. Both doctors were very sensitive to his condition and very thorough in explaining the remedies which included diet, supplements and new antidepressants that took him out of the fog. Additional therapies such as EMDR was also recommended. He is nearing the 3 month mark since his brain scan, and he is almost back to his gregarious self, and showing alert behavior. The administrative and medical staff assigned to my husband are very communicative & caring. I have now signed up for an evaluation to address my growing memory problems. I highly recommend Amen Clinics.

Prior to neurofeedback with Dr. Gattis my son had regular emotional outbursts ending in him an outburst and him fleeing the situation. He would perseverate on unhealthy thoughts and had low impulse control. I he was a very quiet and anxious. Today his verbal and non verbal communication skills, empathy, and impulse control are beyond belief. His new school advisor said she would have never guessed he was a quiet child. He is emerging as a confident young man at 14, taking healthy appropriate risks socially and physically. He is becoming a leader in his math class and on his Volleyball Club team. He told me sometimes he looks at himself and doesn’t even know who this person is. He said it was as if he had lived like one person up until seventh grade and has become a new person in eighth. When I asked him how he felt about joining the club volleyball team, even though at first he thought he was too scared, he replied,” It’s amazing, it’s like being a part of some thing I never thought I could”. Our relationship has grown much deeper as he now talks and I get to know him. Thank you Dr. Gattis. And a big thanks to Dr. Amen for providing the Daniel Plan which has helped me to be the person I am today.

I love Amen Clinics. My daughter has CP and is non verbal. She had a stroke when I was pregnant and doctors said she would be useless. She is a super smile girl that understndas three languages. Facing disability and teenager years is not easy, so i asked for help to understand which are the real issues in her brain. The psychiatric care is personal, therapeutic, and competent. Everyone is friendly and caring, from the phone staff, to the personal assistants. Dr. Licciardi sets an example for what a knowledgeable and caring psychiatrist should be. Brittany and Anthony are fabulous assistants, always working to resolve any complications I may be experiencing. Also, their communication with the doctor is impeccable. I highly recommend.

I had Dr. Daniel Amen evaluate by SPECT advanced imaging scan, that scan was previously completed at OHSU in Portland, Oregon; his insights were helpful. Dr Amen encouraged HBOT sessions plus nutritional analysis with a future follow up. I wish HBOT was easier to get covered by Insurance

This experience has been such a gift. Though we couldn't afford to pay for it ourselves, a friend offered to pay so that we could help our daughter. This has been invaluable. Though it is expensive, the price is well worth what you are getting. Just hearing the results alone was so comforting and reassuring to know which direction to go in regarding treatment for our 15 yr old. The staff was so helpful and compassionate as well as incredibly knowledgable. I wish with all my heart that the medical community as a whole would start off with things like testing and brain scans instead of just medication. I had the most wonderful experience at amen! I felt very heard and understood when communicating about my struggle with medication and finding the right fit. I felt like I had been doing trial and error with other doctors for years who just kept prescribing medicine and told me I would probably need them for the rest of my life. I could have written this review years ago, but I felt adequate words to embrace this experience eluded me. I credit Dr. Emina at the Amen Clinic with saving my husband's life - and restoring his quality of life. A diagnostic brain SPECT scan revealed my husband has a traumatic brain injury from the age of 15 when he was hit over the head with a tire iron. He also has clinically significant tinnitus, & is deaf (sadly a cochlear implant was not effective for him). Over the course of a year Dr. Emina was able to build his brain reserve back up and slow down his cognitive decline through micro-doses of several key medications, supplements, diet geared to his specific needs and exercise. After 7 years of working with Dr. Emina we still gain helpful insights which surprise us. We are forever grateful for Dr. Emina's gracious expertise in providing this foundational gift of brain support for my husband, and Dr. Amen for his research, education, training and clinics with brain experts who have uplifted so many people's lives through the gift of improved brain-body health.
I am extremely grateful for finding the Amen Clinic, my experience has been nothing but positive. The team assigned to me was thorough, and comprehensive and showed genuine interest in me. I showed up at the Amen Clinic combating a severe case of anxiety and was reluctant to go on any medications. My SPECT Scan revealed some underlying issues that were detailed out in the final report. My scheduled phone calls and Zoom Calls all went off as scheduled. I Was evaluated and counseled along with the necessary recommendations to best treat my condition. I wrote out each and every recommendation and went to work, change in nutrition, sleep habits, exercise, nutritional supplements, removing copious amounts of coffee and sugar and grains from my diet, lost weight, I simply decided to take take 100% responsability for my mental and emotional health and the outcome has been nothing more than complete satisfaction. ********************** supplied me the necessary tools, but I understood that I needed to take control of my underlying external environmental conditions that was creating my anxiety. My final report sits on my desk I value it as a prescription, and I will review it from time to time to ensure I am dialed in. We were trying to find some answers, some help for him, we thought we had exhausted all options, when one of his doctors recommended the Amen Clinic to us. We submitted an extensive history and got started with a phone call to us by Dr. Emina. Many tests were done, some tailored to our son's needs. The staff have been great explaining the process, and scheduling Zoom meetings, and in-person meetings. I had my 2 brain scans done and then I met on Zoom with Dr Karimpour, psychiatrist. She is so easy to talk with and easy to understand how she thinks. She is so specialized and has experience and over all my years of trying to be treated for ADD, therapy sessions where no one listens and naturopathic doctors that are great in their own expertise but not involving the brain I found a place that takes me seriously. I struggle with betrayal and lack of justice in this world. A bitter divorce, tough business climates and selfish people that have no problem steeping on me and others. Off and on counseling through marriage and other stuff. I found it harder and harder to endure these injustices that make little sense to me and create so much unhealthy stress in my life. I was referred to Dr. Jennifer Love of Amen clinics. Not only am I heard, I feel understood. She cannot help me with bad people and legal systems that fail us often. But with an understanding medically of what long term heavy stress does to an Individual She was quickly able to recommend treatments that we quickly balanced and really help keep me not only calmer, but alert and clear minded. I have legal battles and professional debates I need to stay in the fight for hours at times and sometimes a day straight stress load. Other counseling cannot help when your system is over loaded as well. I am a diagnostician in my own world and to have the aid of a higher level Doctor is very comforting AND successful. Your mind has to be calm to accept full reasoning and healing. If you have been struggling in this world...counseled and not better. If you have been told to "accept things" and "move on". How about trust God and forgive for your own heath. These things are true. But if you CANNOT get away from the causes of your stress or people that keep after you...you need her help. Would you like to be heard, understood and then someone actually get the fire extinguisher and come to help?! Yeah...pretty good stuff. Also with calm clarity, my armor stays tight, I can discern useless flaming arrows vs real threads and not get upset...but focus on the important issues and let the stupid stuff not rob my attention and energy. I hope that is a very specific and powerful positive testimony for Dr. Love and the Amen clinic network. Do not stay in lifes battles alone too long = you will get taken out.

We finally decided to go to the Amen Clinic in Orange County to get our brains scanned last year in hopes of finding new treatments to help. As they just checked boxes on a page and gave him a few brief moments of their time, he got worse and worse. We were very fortunate to find Dr. Karimpour and her assistant. Dr. Karimpour spent ample time going through my son’s medical history and family medical history, and not only was she the first to actually listen, but she also went out of her way to give my son and myself the time required to understand the situation entirely. Her assistant has been the same. She has gone above and beyond on multiple occasions fielding emails and calls with pharmacies during medication shortages, offering information when needed, and being available for urgent concerns. They remain a consistent, major support system and advocate for my son’s health.

Went to the DC area clinic. Brilliant analysis of my mental health and state of my brain after 2 scans. The psychiatrist spent 45 minutes telling me everything I had experienced for years just from my scans alone. We had never met. And the plan going forward was easy to understand and outlined perfectly. After 17 years of failed treatment and dozens of professionals guessing as to what was happening in my brain the scans eliminated the what ifs and showed what was happening and why. My advice is to skip the guesswork and get a scan to know the real reasons behind the problems.

Yes. I went to their Manhattan office. I was treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. I did 2 SPECT (brain) scans and a psychological test. I am waiting to hear my results. Overall I was very happy with the care I received. The people were genuine and caring but also knew their field well and provided me with helpful accurate information. My one complaint is that there was a miscommunication regarding one of my appointments. I was scheduled for a web test at the clinic but it was also emailed to me to do at home. I did it at home then arrived at the clinic to find that I had already done it and didn't need to be there for that appointment. I live about two hours away and had risen early to make it there in time for my appointment so I was frustrated that I now had to kill time till my next appointment that day. All that said I felt the care I receive was worth the extra hassle and would recommend the clinic to anyone looking for psychological help.

I went to the Amen Clinic in Atlanta last November and had Spect scans done of my brain. I have to say it was a turning point in my life getting the results, feedback, and guidance on how best to move forward with not only my treatment and supplements but also the education into why I was feeling the way was. 5 star ? experience and 2 thumbs ? Up!
I was and am impressed with Amen clinic. They did testing and spect scans of my brain. They helped me to recognize what needed attention through their evaluation, recommendations, and suggestions. I implemented them and it has been life changing. They look at brain systems not just mental health systems. They provide what people need to know and do, to get better. A method that should be adopted by all of psychiatry.
Interesting reading the feedback here because my experience was completely different. I learned about this clinic via a family member and their process was much different approach than previous "professionals" I've been to. I didn't feel judged at all and I finally had a better idea of the issues I've dealt with and still was dealing with. They didn't just want put me on a bunch of pharmaceuticals and I didn't really understand why, they broke down their assessments of me and they recommended one along with some natural supplements specific to my situation. My husband paid $4,000 for a three visit therapy, a few hours each visit,for our daughter who is chronically depressed. We were not impressed by the care given to her. Apart from her brain scan, they did little to help her. We paid to fly her out to Los Angeles where she stayed for the days required for her treatment. For the almost $5,000 we spent, I think it would have been better if she had received regular, traditional visits to a psychiatrist. She still suffers and as far as I know, there was no follow-up. In short, we were not satisfied with the ‘care’ they gave her. One thing, they were swift to suck that money out of our account, days before her visit. All in all, my daughter was not helped by Amen Clinic and we wished we had gone another route!
I don’t say this lightly: Amen Clinic saved my husband’s life. Well worth it to have my husband’s toxic brain injury validated through the SPECT scan. My husband suffered from chronic toxic exposure that no local professional knew how to treat. Amen Clinic Dr Emina and Bellevue-based Dr Chapek teamed up to provide treatments with supplement support that noticeably helped hubby feel better *immediately.It’s rare to have such highly capable, competent doctors who are humble and who take the time to listen and give clear explanations + superb treatment.
